Saint Mammes, Moret Sur Loing, Meaux, France

We always enjoy Moret-sur-Loing with its old buildings, flowing waters, savory galettes, sweet crepes and an ice cream stand that has a line no matter what the weather.  I can tell you first hand the ice cream is delicious.
Moret-sur-Loing.  No selfie stick.  Maybe I need longer arms.
Every day we walked from Saint Mammes to Loret-sur-Loing.  It's how I got my 10,000 Fitbit steps in.
A Dromedary we encountered on a walk.  The circus came to Saint Mammes.
Once the electrician finished his work on Rabelo it was time to conquer the flowing rivers and tranquil canals of France.
After exiting a tunnel I  admired all the verdant green.
Eye catching graffiti.
Have you ever wondered where brie cheese originated from?  Some of the best brie you will ever taste comes from Meaux.  They have endless varieties from very runny, to firm, to having the center filled with nuts, mustard, truffles and so much more.  We will need to return and try more styles of brie next time.
Security is now found at the open and covered markets.
There go the bride and groom.
The Roman Catholic Cathedral in Meaux which was built in the Gothic style was never completed.  It was under construction from 1175 to 1540.  In 1562 the cathedral was looted and damaged by the Huguenots.

Graceful interior.

The Cathedral had an art show.
Part of the art exhibit.

North Carolina has Potty Police.  France has theirs.

Alfred Sisley was an impressionist landscape painter who did a series of paintings in or near Moret-sur-Loing.
A painting by Alfred Sisley of the charming village of Loret Sur Loing.

Loret Sur Loing hasn't changed since the days of Alfred Sisley.

As many times as we have returned to Moret sur Loing we still enjoy the feeling created by the flowing water and old structures.

Spring time with  beautiful tiny flowers growing in the grass and lawn mowers just like Lake Sherwood.

In spite of Kevin's efforts, the construction dust permeated every corner of Rabelo.  After repeated attempts by vacuuming to get the dust out of the rug, I resorted to the old fashioned way and beat it almost to death.
It was time for a refresher course from Kevin on line handling before he leaves us.  I CAN do it!
I'm becoming proficient at handling the lines on our 200 ton barge.
Cocktail time.  Well earned.  Two types of brie to sample.
Nothing like a glass of bubbly after a hard day's work.
One new guest bathroom .
Another angle of the new bathroom.
The first guest bedroom is ready just in time.
