April 2013 a horrific fire roared through Ventura County, California burning a large area of parkland where hikers and bikers love spending time. With a dry winter the area remained barren. Finally we received a little rain. That's all that was needed for life to begin again. Here are some pictures showing what the area looks like almost one year later. You will see areas that haven't begun their regrowth. Other areas are showing promise with green leaves and new wood appearing.
